Pros
  • First up, the battery is just nuts. 7000 mAh? That’s like carrying a power bank around, except it’s just your phone.
  • And with that 68W fast charging, you’ll be back to 50% before you even finish scrolling through TikTok. Expandable storage? Yup, slap in a microSD and you’re good for a terabyte of memes and cat videos.
  • Oh, and they actually kept the headphone jack! Shocking in 2024, honestly—most brands treat those like they’re radioactive.
Cons
  • Now, not everything’s sunshine and rainbows.
  • The screen’s an IPS LCD, so yeah, it’s smooth at 120Hz, but don’t expect those poppin’ AMOLED colors. Plus, they’re only promising one year of OS updates.
  • One. Year. That’s not exactly future-proof. And there’s this 0.8 MP depth camera... why even bother? Just seems like they needed to fill up the back of the phone.
  • Plastic build too, so it’s not winning any beauty contests, but at this price, you kinda knew what you were getting into.

. Design-wise

It’s practical. Nothing super flashy, but at least you get some IP54 splash resistance and it’s not a total brick—about 200 grams, 8.5mm thick, basically middle of the road. The Dynamic Gray color is kinda slick, though, and again, that headphone jack is a real MVP for budget buyers.

2. DisPlay

The display’s big at 6.78 inches, and with the high refresh rate, it scrolls like butter. Just don’t expect deep blacks or colors that punch you in the face. Performance? The MediaTek Dimensity 6080 handles daily stuff and a bit of gaming without breaking a sweat, but don’t go expecting flagship speeds. 8GB RAM helps, but the one-year update thing is a bummer.

3. Camera:

Cameras—main one’s 50 MP and does well in daylight, but low-light? Meh. The depth sensor? Feels like a participation trophy. That 16 MP Selfie cam, though, actually punches above its weight for a budget phone.

The Tecno Pova 7 5G is a straight-up tank for battery life and everyday use. Sure, the screen isn’t AMOLED and the software support is basically a one-and-done deal, but if you’re sick of your phone dying before dinner, this thing’s a steal compared to the Samsung Galaxy M16 5G or Realme Narzo 70. If you want endurance on a budget, just go for it.
