Key Features of Vivo X90 Pro+

1. Quad-Camera System

I’ve tried several flagship phones, and the Vivo X90 Pro+ easily competes with the best, especially when it comes to photography. The quad-camera setup is versatile, with a standout performance in portrait mode.

The Zeiss optics enhance clarity and sharpness. The 64 MP periscope telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom is fantastic for zoomed-in shots, rivaling the Galaxy S23 Ultra’s 10x zoom lens in terms of detail.

However, I noticed some oversaturation in video recording, especially in bright daylight, which can be a bit of a letdown for users focused on videography.

2. Display

The Vivo X90 Pro+ is undeniably a beautiful device. The 6.78-inch AMOLED screen is bright, vivid, and responsive. I’ve used this side by side with the Google Pixel 8 Pro, and while the Pixel also has a great display, the X90 Pro+ edges ahead with its peak brightness of 1800 nits and Dolby Vision support.

The eco-leather back is a nice touch—it gives the phone a more premium feel compared to the glass back of the Pixel 8 Pro.

3. Performance

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset powers the Vivo X90 Pro+, and it’s as fast as you’d expect from a top-tier phone. Gaming, multitasking, and editing photos or videos are smooth without lag or heating issues.

Running multiple apps, switching between tasks, and handling heavy workloads is a breeze on this device. Even after long hours of use, the phone’s performance remains solid.

4. Battery Life

The battery performance on the Vivo X90 Pro+ is impressive. In my everyday use, including listening to music via Bluetooth, using the camera, and browsing social media, the battery consistently lasted all day.

I’d leave home at 9:00 AM, and by the time I got back at 7:00 PM, it still had over 75% remaining. Plus, it charges incredibly fast—reaching 100% in about 35 minutes with the 80W wired charger.

5. Software Experience

The Vivo X90 Pro+ runs on Android 13 with Funtouch OS (global) or OriginOS 3 (China). It’s a clean, user-friendly interface with plenty of customization options.

The global version has minimal bloatware, which keeps the experience streamlined and pleasant. However, if you're used to Google’s stock Android experience on the Pixel, Funtouch might take some time to get used to.

Final Thoughts

Having used the Vivo X90 Pro+ for over a month, I must say it’s well-rounded and offers serious value for its price. Its camera performance, display quality, and battery life make it a top contender in the premium smartphone market.

While it has a few minor drawbacks, such as video oversaturation and occasional autofocus issues, these are small trade-offs for what is otherwise an excellent device.
