Key Features of the Vivo X100 Pro

1. Camera

The Vivo X100 Pro excels in photography. The 50MP wide camera performs exceptionally well in low light due to its large sensor and f/1.8 aperture. The detail is impressive, in both landscape and portrait.

The telephoto lens with 4.3x optical zoom is perfect for capturing distant objects without losing clarity.

I regularly test flagship phones and found the Vivo X100 Pro’s Zeiss optics and T lens coating to offer crisper and more vibrant shots, especially when compared to the Pixel’s more muted tones.

2. Display

Vivo has equipped the X100 Pro with a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display, and it’s one of the brightest and most color-accurate screens I’ve used. The 120Hz refresh rate provides smooth scrolling and gaming, while the 3000 nits peak brightness makes it easy to see the screen even under direct sunlight.

Compared to the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, which also has a stunning display, the Vivo X100 Pro holds its ground.

It’s bright, and vivid, and makes watching HDR10+ content an immersive experience. The 1260x2800 resolution is crisp enough for everyday use, though not quite as sharp as the Galaxy's 1440p display.

3. Performance

The Mediatek Dimensity 9300 chipset makes the Vivo X100 Pro a powerhouse for multitasking, gaming, and handling intensive apps. It’s comparable to the performance of flagship processors like Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 2

During my tests, switching between apps and running heavy games like Genshin Impact felt incredibly fluid.

The UFS 4.0 storage guarantees quick file transfers and app loading times. While testing, I didn’t experience any significant lag, even while using multiple high-demand apps. The 12GB or 16GB of RAM helps keep everything running smoothly, especially when compared to competitors like the OnePlus 11.

4. Battery and Charging

The 5400mAh battery is more than capable of lasting a full day with moderate to heavy use. Even with the display set to 120Hz and running high-performance tasks, the battery life remained strong.

What really sets the Vivo X100 Pro apart from many competitors is its 100W wired charging. Vivo advertises 50% battery in just 14 minutes, and in my experience, this claim holds up.

5. Design and Durability

In terms of design, the Vivo X100 Pro feels premium. The glass front and back, combined with an aluminum frame, give it a sleek and modern look. It’s heavier than some competitors, but the solid build quality makes it feel durable and high-end.

The phone’s IP68 rating for water and dust resistance means you won’t have to worry about accidental splashes or drops in water. I tested the phone in different environments, and it performed consistently without issues.

Final Thoughts

After spending time with the Vivo X100 Pro and comparing it to flagship phones, let me say that this phone is a great choice for tech buffs, photographers, and power users.

Yes, it lacks expandable storage and a headphone jack, but its strengths in other areas make up for these omissions.
