Pros
Cons
1. Display
The 6.78-inch AMOLED display is easily one of the best features of the Vivo V30e. With its 120Hz refresh rate and 1080x2400 resolution, the screen offers crisp visuals and smooth scrolling.
I found the peak brightness of 1300 nits particularly useful when using the phone outdoors. It stays sharp even in direct sunlight.
2. Performance
Powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1, the Vivo V30e handles daily tasks efficiently. From browsing the web to running apps like Instagram or YouTube, everything runs smoothly.
However, if you’re into heavy gaming or using resource-intensive applications, you might notice occasional slowdowns.
In terms of software, the Android 14 with Vivo’s Funtouch OS 14 offers a clean user interface, though some bloatware is present. I didn’t find the pre-installed apps too intrusive, and they can easily be removed.
3. Camera
The 50 MP main camera does a solid job for casual photography. Optical image stabilization (OIS) helps to minimize blur in shaky hands. The 8 MP ultrawide camera, while not the best in its class, adds some versatility for landscape shots.
The front-facing camera is a standout. With 50 MP and autofocus, it delivers great selfies, perfect for social media sharing.
In terms of video recording, the 4K capability on the rear camera ensures good-quality footage, though it’s not quite cinema-grade.
4. Battery Life
One of the best aspects of the Vivo V30e is its battery. The 5500mAh capacity easily lasts a full day. But using the internet can drain the battery a little earlier.
The 44W fast charging feels a bit slow, especially when compared to other phones in this price range that offer faster charging. It takes just over an hour to charge fully, which is decent but not groundbreaking.
After spending a week with the Vivo V30e, I have to say it’s a reliable mid-range phone with solid features, particularly in its display and battery life.
The camera performance is a big plus, and the design feels premium despite the use of plastic materials.
However, its performance doesn’t quite match up to its price, particularly when compared to other phones in this segment.
