The Galaxy Z Fold 7, launched in 2025, is a premium book-style foldable with a thinner design, improved cameras, and record-breaking pre-orders in the US. It’s praised for its photography upgrades and smarter software but criticized for its niche appeal. It competes with the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold and Honor Magic V3.

Absolute beast: Snapdragon 8 Elite chews through games and multitasking like it’s nothing.
• Screens for days: 7.6-inch main display is basically a mini tablet, and the 6.3-inch cover screen actually feels like a real phone, not some weird compromise.
• Cameras? Finally not embarrassing: 50MP main with OIS, plus a 3x zoom—easily in the flagship league now.
• Software game strong: One UI 8, Galaxy AI features, S Pen support, and Samsung’s promising updates for 7 years. Love it.
Chunky boi: At 240g, you’re definitely gonna notice it in your pocket.
• Under-display camera… still meh. 4MP and it shows.
• Dust’s worst nightmare: IPX8 means water, yes, but dust? Forget about it.
• Battery’s just okay: 4400mAh barely cuts it if you’re a power user.
Features:
1. Performance
Snapdragon 8 Elite, Geekbench scores around 2300 single-core and 8500 multi-core. So yeah, it flies—gaming, video editing, whatever you throw at it. Way ahead of the Z Flip 7’s Exynos chip.
2. Camera
50MP main shooter (with OIS) finally makes nighttime shots look decent. Colors pop, too. 10MP 3x zoom and 12MP ultrawide are handy. The under-display selfie cam is there for Zoom calls, but don’t expect Insta-worthy selfies.
3. Design
Noticeably thinner and lighter than before, and the hinge feels way more polished. Mint Green color? Chef’s kiss. The main display’s gorgeous, but yeah, the crease is still there—deal with it.
4. Durability
IPX8 water resistance, so you can drop it in the sink (briefly) and it’ll survive. Armor Aluminum frame and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 all around. But dust? Still a no-go, and don’t mess with the hinge.
5. Battery
4400mAh battery will get you through a workday if you’re careful, but heavy users will want a charger nearby. 25W wired and 15W wireless charging aren’t breaking any records, but at least it juices up fast to 50% in around half an hour.
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is the productivity monster for 2025—crazy performance, those foldable screens are actually useful, and the cameras are finally up to flagship snuff. If you’re a pro or just a tech nerd, it’s probably the best foldable out there. Only real gripes are the weight and so-so battery. Still wipes the floor with the Pixel 9 Pro Fold when it comes to software and displays.
