Tecno is planning to launch Phantom X2 Pro in the coming days of December. There has been a lot of recent news and leaks about this series of smartphones that have confirmed the fact that the company is currently working on a new series of smartphones that they will call the Phantom X2 series. Some well-known leakers have shared information about the new Tecno's Phantom X2 Pro, claiming that it will be powered by the new powerful MediaTek Dimensity 9000 5G chipset with a 3.05GHz Octa Core CPU. With these powerful processors, it seems as if the Tecno X2 Pro could be able to support 5G connectivity in the near future. It is also worth mentioning that another notable feature is the enormous 6.8-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen curved display on the device. This curved display supports the Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. Tecno Phantom X2 Pro's an ARM Mali-G710 GPU to load graphics in high quality. The curved display has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for protection, and there is also a 90 Hz refresh rate that comes with this display. The brand new Tecno Phantom's X2 Pro could be launched with a triple camera setup of 50 MP, 50 MP, and 13 MP with an LED flash, and at the front, it could have a single camera setup of 32 MP. The Phantom X2 Pro is expected to launch with a bigger 5160 mAh battery pack to run this flagship all day on just a single charge. It supports superfast charging of 45W to fill it up in minutes. Pros:
Cons:
Retractable Portrait Lens:
The standout feature of the Phantom X2 Pro is its unique retractable 50MP portrait lens, offering optical zoom and creating professional-quality portrait photos with natural bokeh. This innovative camera design sets it apart from other smartphones in its category
Powerful Performance
High-Resolution AMOLED Display:
The 6.8-inch AMOLED display boasts a 120Hz refresh rate and a 2K resolution, ensuring vibrant, sharp visuals and smooth navigation. It's ideal for media consumption, gaming, and browsing
Battery and Charging:
The Phantom X2 Pro features a 5160mAh battery with 45W fast charging support, allowing you to charge the device from 0 to 54% in just 20 minutes, providing a full charge in around an hour.
Camera Performance:
In addition to the innovative retractable lens, the Phantom X2 Pro has a 50MP main camera and a 13MP ultrawide sensor. Together, they deliver excellent image quality in various lighting conditions, including sharpness, vibrancy, and detailed portraits
Large Battery with Fast Charging
The device packs a 5000mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging. Under typical use, the battery lasts a full day; however, heavy usage at 120Hz refresh rates on both displays can lead to quicker drain
Affordable Entry-Level Foldable
One of the standout aspects of the Phantom V Fold is its affordability. It is priced significantly lower than flagship foldable like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold, making it accessible to a broader audience.
The Tecno Phantom X2 Pro stands out as a flagship contender in a competitive market. Notably, its innovative retractable portrait lens offers a unique feature for photography enthusiasts, enabling enhanced portrait shots with a customizable bokeh effect. This camera setup is complemented by a 50MP main sensor and a capable ultra-wide lens, producing sharp, vibrant photos under various conditions, including low light. The performance is solid, powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chip and paired with 12GB of RAM, ensuring smooth multitasking and gaming experiences.
However, the phone's software is somewhat basic, with limited manual controls and a reliance on AI for image enhancement. The lack of RAW photo options and minimal customization may disappoint those looking for more control over their shots .Additionally, while the battery life is generally reliable, lasting up to two days on light use, the portrait lens mechanism can be finicky if the phone is laid flat, potentially hindering the overall user experience
In conclusion, the Phantom X2 Pro provides a robust and feature-rich experience at a competitive price, particularly appealing to users looking for cutting-edge camera features without the flagship price tag. However, those seeking deeper customization and more refined software might find it lacking.
