Pros
  • World’s Thinnest Foldable? Yup, the Find N5 is basically on a diet.
  • Unfolded, it’s a measly 4.21mm thick—fold it up, you’re looking at 8.93mm.
  • That’s thinner than a lot of “regular” phones, like the iPhone 16 Pro Max (which, by the way, is chunkier at 8.25mm). Wild, right?
  • Big Screen Energy: The inside display is a massive 8.12 inches of AMOLED goodness, 120Hz refresh rate—so everything just glides. It’s a multitasking dream, plus games and content creation look legit on this thing.
  • Battery with Some Guts: Packing a 5,600mAh silicon-carbon battery, this phone doesn’t tap out early. Heavy use? No sweat, you’re good for over a day. And if you somehow kill it, the 80W wired and 50W wireless charging get you juiced up stupid-fast.
  • Hasselblad Cameras: The 50MP main and telephoto shooters (co-engineered with Hasselblad—fancy, right?) produce sharp, punchy pics. Easily goes toe-to-toe with non-folding flagships.
Cons
  • No microSD? Ouch. You get 512GB and that’s it—no slot to add more. Kinda annoying if you’re a media hoarder.
  • Crease Is Still There: Sure, its way less obvious now, but catch the light wrong and you’ll see it. Slightly ruins the “this is the future” vibe.
  • Where Can You Even Get One? Not officially in the US or Europe. Gotta import, which means more money, more hassle.
  • Ultra-Wide Camera? Meh. Only 8MP, and it struggles when the lights go down. The other two lenses embarrass it, honestly.

Design

The OPPO Find N5? It’s got style. Folded up, it’s just 8.93mm thick—barely chunkier than an iPhone. Unfolded? Practically paper. At 229g, it’s lighter than Samsung’s Z Fold 6. Doesn’t feel like you’re lugging around a brick, which is nice.

That hinge? Aerospace titanium, 3D-printed bits, the works. Supposedly 26% thinner and 36% tougher than the last one. TÜV Rheinland says 100,000 folds—so unless you’re fidgeting 24/7, you’re set for years. It even half-opens for laptop-style stuff, though between 95–100 degrees it wants to flop open.

Here’s a first: triple water-resistance. Splash it, dunk it, spray it with a hose—whatever, it’s rated for all that (IPX6, IPX8, IPX9). The frame’s 7-series aluminum, tougher and more corrosion-proof than before. Cover screen glass is stronger, inner screen’s got extra anti-shock layers. Basically, it’s built like a tiny tank.

Comes in Cosmic Black and Misty White. The white one’s got this sick shifting effect when the light hits. Feels silky too—no fingerprint mess. Only gripes: the volume rocker is kinda high, and holding it open with your pinky can get weird.

2. Screen Time

Displays are killer: 6.62” AMOLED on the outside, 8.12” on the inside. Both do 1-120Hz LTPO, so they’re buttery smooth, and you get HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. Max brightness? The cover screen hits 2,450 nits, so sunlight is no problem. Colors are nice, though maybe not as punchy as a Pixel 9 Pro Fold.

Crease? They finally almost fixed it. It’s 50% shallower than before, and 10% narrower. Honestly, you’ll forget it’s there unless you go looking for it. The cover display’s got a normal aspect ratio, so it’s not weirdly skinny like Samsung’s foldable. Downside: the inside screen is almost square, so you get black bars watching videos or playing some games—not perfect for Netflix binges.

Multitasking is pretty slick. You can run three apps at once, rearrange them, all that jazz. There’s an OPPO Pen too, if you’re into sketching or jotting notes—just don’t expect it in the box (why are they always extra?).

3. Cameras

Cameras are no joke: 50MP main (Sony sensor), 50MP telephoto (with 3x optical and 6x lossless zoom), plus an 8MP ultra-wide. Both screens have selfie cams.

Main and telephoto? Absolute beasts—sharp, great color, not washed out even at night. The telephoto can even do macro shots at 10cm, so yeah, your flower close-ups are sorted. The ultra-wide, though? Ehh, it’s there, but don’t expect miracles in bad lighting. Kind of a letdown next to the other two.

Whoa, the OPPO Find N5 is kind of wild for a 2025 foldable. It’s stupid thin—like, 8.93mm? That’s insane for something that folds. And that inner screen? 8.12 inches. It’s basically a tablet that folds into your pocket. Toss in a beefy 5,600mAh battery, and you won’t be stress-scrolling about your phone dying before dinner. Cameras? Yeah, they teamed up with Hasselblad, so you know the main shooters going to slap. Snapdragon 8 Elite under the hood, too, so it’s not going to lag when you’re juggling a dozen apps or editing video on the fly. OPPO even managed to hide the crease better than anyone else, and triple IPX ratings—like, go ahead and spill your coffee, it’ll survive. They’re really flexing on durability.

If you’re obsessed with foldable, want a killer screen, and need your phone to last all day, the Find N5’s kind of irresistible. But if you’re picky about your ultra-wide pics to know, or want to actually buy it somewhere local, maybe think twice. If you’re serious, poke around places like Trading Shenzhen to see if you can actually get your hands on one—regional weirdness and all.
