Honor X8c 4G

The Honor X8c 4G joins the 2025 budget-friendly smartphone lineup with a straightforward goal: deliver stylish looks, smooth day-to-day performance, and reliable features without inflating the price. After spending a couple of weeks with this device, I’m impressed by its slim profile, capable camera system, and dependable battery life. Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset and featuring a modern design, it’s aimed at users who want a well-balanced phone without stepping into the premium price bracket. But how does it fare against rivals like the Samsung Galaxy A15 4G or the Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 4G?

Pros

Super slim and light—barely 7.6mm thick. You’ll forget it’s in your pocket, seriously.

• That 64MP main camera? Sharp as heck in daylight.

• Got too many pics? Pop in a microSD. Problem solved.

• 90Hz display keeps scrolling silky—your thumb will thank you.

• Wallet-friendly. Honestly, it’s a steal for the price.

Cons

Stuck with an LCD, not that punchy AMOLED stuff everyone’s raving about.

• Night shots? Meh, kinda grainy.

• Only one speaker, so don’t expect to throw a party with this.

• No 5G—just 4G vibes here.

Design

Man, at just 7.6mm and 175g, this thing is basically on a diet. The back’s got that shiny, glassy look—actually kinda fancy for a budget phone. That Emerald Green? Pops in the sunlight. Sure, it’s plastic around the edges, so don’t drop it and expect magic, but for the price, it looks way pricier than it really is.

Display

You get a 6.7-inch LCD with 90Hz—big and smooth. Not AMOLED, so colors don’t slap as hard, but for TikTok, Insta, YouTube, whatever, it’s more than decent. Brightness tops out at 800 nits, so you can actually see stuff outside—unless you’re standing on the sun or something. Gaming and scrolling feel snappy, especially for less demanding games.

Cameras

Main cam’s 64MP and holds up well in daylight—crisp and clear. The 5MP ultrawide is fun for group shots or landscapes, but edges get a bit fuzzy. The 2MP macro? Eh, more of a “nice to have” than a daily driver. Selfies on the 16MP front cam turn out pretty natural, especially in good light. At night, though, things get noisy—not shocking for a phone at this price.

Battery & Charging

4,500mAh battery easily covers a day with social scrolling, some gaming, and Netflix binges. 35W charging isn’t going to blow your mind, but you’ll get to 50% in about half an hour—good enough if you remember to plug it in before you crash at night.

Software Vibes

MagicOS 8.0 (on Android 14) is simple and snappy. No weird lag or bloatware cluttering things up. You get useful extras like split-screen multitasking, App Lock, and some smart photo sorting. Two years of updates—pretty fair for a budget phone.

So, who’s this phone for? If you’re pinching pennies but still want something that looks slick and gets the job done, the Honor X8c 4G is a winner. It’s not the flashiest—no 5G, no AMOLED—but it nails the basics, feels good in your hand, and won’t leave your bank account in shambles. If you’re all about practicality and not chasing the latest buzzword specs, this one’s an easy “why not?”
